Project Scope

Commercial kitchens experience some of the harshest floor conditions possible, from oils and moisture to high heat and cleaning chemicals. The existing surface at La Boca was showing signs of wear and needed a complete upgrade to ensure workplace safety and long-term performance.

A Seamless, Non-Slip Surface Built for High-Performance Kitchens

Our team at Epoxy Flooring Adelaide installed a durable, anti-slip resin flooring system for the La Boca restaurant kitchen in Adelaide, designed to handle the intense daily demands of a professional cooking environment. The goal was to create a hygienic, safe, and long-lasting floor surface capable of withstanding heavy foot traffic, spills, heat, and constant cleaning, all while maintaining a seamless, professional appearance.

Scope of Work

To meet the restaurant’s operational and safety standards, our team completed the following process:

  • Mechanically prepared the existing surface using diamond grinding to remove contaminants and improve adhesion.
  • Applied a high-performance epoxy primer designed to bond securely to the substrate.
  • Installed a non-slip resin flooring system with an embedded aggregate to provide traction in wet conditions.
  • Finished with a clear protective topcoat, formulated for UV and chemical resistance to protect against stains, wear, and fading.

This professional-grade system ensures maximum durability, hygiene compliance, and ease of cleaning, making it ideal for restaurants, hotels, and industrial kitchens.

The Result

The completed floor is seamless, safe, and easy to maintain — exactly what a high-traffic kitchen environment requires.

It now provides:

  • Enhanced slip resistance for worker safety
  • Superior hygiene with a non-porous, joint-free surface
  • Excellent chemical and thermal resistance
  • A clean, professional look that aligns with the restaurant’s high standards

The new epoxy floor not only improves functionality but also extends the life of the facility, ensuring the La Boca kitchen operates efficiently and safely for years to come.
